What is the importance of reading with the RAD Prism in dim light?
In dim light, the eye naturally dilates and the pupil becomes larger. In order to correct the way the light enters the right eye, the eye should be naturally dilated for maximum benefit.

How long do I have to wear the RAD Prism glasses before I know they work?
You will notice a change in the way you perceive the written word immediately. Sometimes younger children have a hard time telling people what looks different. Sometimes it takes several weeks of reading instruction for a young child who is just learning how to read to show improvement.

What if the RAD Prism doesn't work for me?
Return the RAD Prism glasses in good condition within 30 days to Dyslexia Solutions and we will refund your participation fee. Just mail the glasses to us at P.O. Box 436765, Louisville, KY 40253-6765.

What if the RAD Prism works for me for several months and then I start to see double or have headaches?
That usually means that the prism is strengthening the neural system and you can move to a smaller width of prism. For example, many people report that they are able to move from #1 to #2 after several months of wear. This is normal. Simply send us the glasses you currently have and we will swap the size and mail them to you free of charge.

Is a diagnosis from a doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist required to try the RAD Prism?
No. The RAD Prism is availalbe to anyone who is a struggling reader and wants to try the RAD Prism to evaluate its effectiveness. Typically people who stumble on words, reverse letters, exchange words, read haltingly, or read without understanding what they have read are good candidates for the RAD Prism. Reading difficulties can be caused by many reasons. This is why we offer a money back guarantee because we don't want you to hesitate to try this as an option

Do I have to see someone to be fitted for the RAD Prism? Do they have to be prescribed?
You will receive a kit with two RAD Prism sizes and instructions for self selecting which RAD Prism works best for you. The RAD Prism does not require a prescription and they are not fitted for individual wear.

What if I already wear prescription glasses?
The RAD Prism provides no correction for visual acuity (near sightedness/far sightedness). If you wear prescription glasses to read, your only option is to switch to contacts for your prescription and wear the RAD Prism with your contacts. We do have some adults who wear RAD Prism glasses on top of their prescription glasses! If you wear prescription glasses to see far away, you may just have to switch between your prescription glasses and the RAD Prism when you are reading.

What ages of people are wearing the RAD Prism glasses?
We have people from the ages of 7 and up who wear the glasses. Many times a parent or grandparent will join the study for their child, only to end up joining the study for themselves. The oldest person joined the study when they were 72 years old!
